Is it possible, that poverty has as much to do with your “mindset”, which is internal and controllable … as it does with “our environment”, which is made up of people and circumstances and is sometimes not so easily controlled?
If we address poverty this way, it gives us a fresh new set of possibilities.
We begin to focus less on pointing the finger at the external, and spend 90% of our time addressing those things that we have DIRECT CONTROL over.
Mindset, is the one thing that the Creator has given each one of us, that we have complete control over … no matter what the immediate circumstance is … no matter the environment.
WE HAVE ULTIMATE CONTROL OVER OUR THOUGHTS!
…but this takes decision, discipline, and focus.
Let us DECIDE to turn our attention towards developing a WEALTHY MINDSET …
I do not necessarily mean material wealth, but first of all a mindset that does not accept sub-standard beliefs, sub-standard behaviors, and sub-standard conversations.
This will immediately force us to examine our habits, and the habits of those that we spend our time with … and will put us on the path of continually refining the associations that we have with others.
Refining our associations with others will force us to seek out new relations that support our goal of continual improvement, and will cause us to spend less time with relations that do not support our new mindset and our new goals.
We will find new relations that add their strengths to ours …so much so that we now have a core TEAM of people whose collective strengths will overshadow our individual weakness, and we will grow.
That TEAM will be the launchpad for having our ideas spring to concrete “ACTIONS” … even-though these actions may seem small at first.
It is the process of experiencing success in one small ACTION step, by that TEAM, that will lead to the confidence to take bigger ACTION steps …
until we look and realize that we, as a TEAM, have become BIGGER than the immediate challenge of our environment.
As we overcome each new challenge, our confidence in our TEAM’s ability to WIN and change our environment, will be felt by others … who will now see possibilities in their own lives.
Then poverty …. will truly only be a “condition” that we will prove can be overcome by the DECISION TO CONTROL YOUR MINDSET, and the DISCIPLINE to take a course of ACTION with others who share your belief.
